10-2 Edmonton Shellacking Inspires Song Parody

After the Edmonton Oilers took a shelling by the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday the likes of which haven’t been seen since D-Day the fine folks from Calgary radio station The Fan 960 released a fairly humorous (if somewhat insensitive) parody of “Lola” by The Kinks.

The song, aptly titled “Goal-a,” captures every ounce of the red-faced embarrassment Edmonton felt while losing 10-2 to Buffalo, while at home no less. It also stung so bad that it motivated some PR douche bag from Edmonton to scramble like mad to try and have it buried. Listen to the song and then, if you’re still up for it, watch the high. . .er. . .lowlights.

  1. Thanks a bunch for that Paul, I’m creating a new section under our ads over on the right called Editor’s Choice. This will have to go there, hilarious.
