The Florida Panthers have selected left winger Lawson Crouse from the Kingston Frontenacs in the OHL with the 11th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Crouse adds even more size to the Panthers lineup. They are now officially giants. With Aleksander Barkov, Nick Bjugstad, Jimmy Hayes, Jaromir Jagr, and now Crouse, the Cats are on the prowl and will be a punishing team to play against.

With the Panthers having two of the last three Calder Trophy winners in Aaron Ekblad and Jonathan Huberdeau, the Cats are definitely on the right track. With the addition of Lawson Crouse, Florida has acquired a guy who is an extremely hard worker, very versatile and fits their model of team building.

Florida desperately needed to add a solid winger to compliment their strong centers Barkov and Bjugstad. Mission accomplished by selecting Crouse. Cats fans should be very optimistic about the future.

The Panthers own two third-round picks, a fourth-rounder, two fifth-rounders, a sixth-rounder and two seventh-rounders.
