Notes:

  • The table display approximately 40-50 of the prospects at a time; simply scroll down to view the other prospects.
  • Only a portion of the table displays by default; you can scroll over to see the rest of the player demographics and statistics or select “View full-size workbook” option, which is the icon in the bottom right hand corner, to view the full table.  The beauty of this option is that you can then download the file to your computer and play with it or adjust it anyway you like.
    • Be sure to scroll over to see E-Mac’s commentary on the Top 30 prospects.
  • The 1st column (E-Mac) is Eldon MacDonald’s first rankings. (Not to be confused with THW’s official The Next Ones rankings {Chris’s List} which will be released at a later date).
  • The 2nd column features Future Considerations preliminary 2015 Top 30 Rankings.
  • A link to Elite Prospects statistics for most of the players is also included (click on individual player name).

  1. I watched the hitmen host the pg cougars the other night in calgary and was put on the edge of my seat by this kid brad morrison on the cougars and scored one of the nicest goals of the season I see he is on there but he plays like at least a 2nd round guy.

  2. Thanks for stopping by, Jason – I think Eldon (who compiles the War Room series) is likely taking his current size into account. If he was a tad bigger, he’d be a Top 3 contender. As it is, this is not your typical draft class. With the abundance of top end talent, being in even in the Top 15 is evidence how highly regarded this prospect is. It is a bit of a numbers game with so many high end prospects competing for the top draft slots. It will be an exciting season to watch and there will be undoubtedly a lot of movement in the rankings as the season unfolds. Stay tuned as my rankings, The Next Ones, are also released in the near future.

  3. Why the low ranking on konecny? He led his ohl team in scoring last year getting minimal ice time until mid season then scored some highlight reel clutch goals at the u18 as an under age player. I saw enough games as well with Mcdavid as well. Konecny is just so good I was hoping someone could tell me why he is ranked so highly or so down on some (your) lists? Thanks!
