The Toronto Maple Leafs announced earlier on Wednesday evening that defenseman Mike Komisarek’s season is now over. The rugged blueliner, who came over to the Leafs as a free agent from Montreal during the off season, injured his shoulder and has not played since January 2nd’s game against the Calgary Flames. Incidentally, Komisarek was named [...]
For Tuesday night’s match between the New Jersey Devils and the Toronto Maple Leafs, it was the newcomers that brrought the intensity the home team needed to take the game 3-0.
Sunday, January 31st 2010 will turn out to be a day that most Toronto Maple Leaf fans will not forget anytime soon. After a miserable loss the previous evening, one that saw them blow a 3-0 lead after one to get trounced 5-3 by the Vancouver Canucks, Leafs GM pulled the trigger on two deals that will undoubtedly make a huge impact on the team both now and in the years to come. Although these deals were obviously in place before Saturday’s shellacking, it is easy to see how a loss like this could only serve to show the immediacy in which these deals were necessary.

Now that the holiday season is nearly behind us, it’s time to look ahead to 2010 and what to expect in the world of NHL fantasy hockey. Whether you are off to a scorching start to your fantasy season, or you are trailing and have some serious ground to make up, the first 2 months [...]
As NHL fantasy owners everywhere prepare themselves for an agonizing 2 nights without any action in their fantasy leagues, I plan on going into 2 day retirement mode and filling myself to the gills with turkey, stuffing, and possibly one or two rum and nog’s. Despite there not being any box scores for you to [...]
Team USA’s motto should run along the lines of: ‘The best defense is a good offense’ as this team has the ability to log a lot of minutes in the zones of opposing teams.
A little over a quarter way into the season and the Senators are 4 games above five hundred.
Not bad, considering your best centreman is going through one of the biggest slumps of his young career, and you’re supposed starting goaltender is down with yet another injury (as freakish as it was).
The Senators have shown flashes of [...]
