Blues’ Walking Wounded Looking to Return

TJ Oshie skated yesterday at practice for the first time after his emergency appendectomy. He still has a week or so of recovery left, but his return is right around the corner.  So is the return of Carlo Colaiacovo – once he recovers from the not-the-swine flu.  Jackman and Steen are back on the ice, but they’re taking it a little slower lest they continue the Blues’ jinx and tweak something.

No word on if they’re measuring when they can come back by if they can lift a child or not.

Stastny is looking to make a case tonight against Florida for staying with the club, but chances are better than not that Peoria’s #1 scorer will be headed back when Steen is able to skate.  He’ll remain on the top of the Blues’ probable call-up list.  He’s much improved over last season, and it should give the team a bit of comfort to know that their farm team will continue to give them viable replacements should something happen to their starting forwards.
