In the midst of what has been a historically bad Buffalo Sabres season, new GM Tim Murray is taking the club into a full rebuild. Many of the club’s most recognized names such as goaltender Ryan Miller and forwards Steve Ott and Matt Moulson have been traded away for picks and prospects. Murray will remold the team over the next few seasons with the goal of turning this now struggling franchise into a perennial contender.

The current roster is made up of a mix of these new players as well as some players brought in under former GM Darcy Regier. Keeping tabs on the current roster has proven to be a challenging task with all the turnover and new faces. While GM Tim Murray will continue to reconstruct the roster this offseason and beyond, here is a snapshot of the current group and how they became members of the Buffalo Sabres.
