Enforcer Cam Janssen Heading to England

It looks like former New Jersey Devils enforcer Cam Janssen won’t find a home in the NHL next season after signing a contract with the Nottingham Panthers in England’s Elite Ice Hockey League.

Janssen didn’t play any games in the NHL last season, instead getting into 34 games with the AHL’s Albany Devils, putting up a goal, an assist and 81 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot, 215-pound winger’s most recent NHL play was in the 2013-14 season when he played 24 games for the Devils, scoring a career-high three goals and no assists, adding 22 penalty minutes and an average of 4:55 of ice time.

He found time in nine NHL seasons, starting off with the Devils, then heading to his hometown St. Louis Blues before making a return to the Devils in the 2011-12 season.
