From Abdelkader to Zuccarello – 30 Jan 2011

With the All-Star break we have a break from NabbyWatch2011; however, now Kesselgate has errupted to the forfront. Some media sources are upset with the attention that the media and fans are putting on Toronto Maple LeafsPhil Kessel being picked last in the All-Star Draft – why? Because he is now going to be labeled as being the last overall pick for the rest of his life. Wow. Sorry if being picked last in an All-Star draft is that blowing to some ones self confidence. Now I want to point out that I have not read one thing about Kessel actually having a problem with it. Kids all over the world get picked last for sports, class partners, groups everyday. Fact is someone is always going to be last. There is always a last pick in the NHL Entry Draft and that label sticks with a player the rest of their life too – in none of these scenarios does the person walk away with a new car nor $20,000 donation to their favorite charity.
