The Game of Numbers is an exclusive THW series looking at upcoming milestones around the NHL. Each team will be looked at individually in three parts – individual player milestones, franchise player milestones, and players that rank in the top 100 in NHL history in any big statistical category.
Chicago has seen numerous successes in the past few years – having won two Stanley Cups in the last five seasons. During that time, the Blackhawks have built a competitive team with names like Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Marian Hossa leading the way. Chicago Blackhawks’ Franchise Milestones
Being one of the Original Six teams in the National Hockey League means having a storied history. Along with historical moments, are franchise milestones – benchmarks set by former players that act as a ceiling for current players to strive for. With both Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane signing long-term deals with Chicago, the focus turns to them in their pursuit of franchise milestones. With guys like Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita leading the way in Chicago’s all-time stats, Kane and Toews are on their way up the franchise all-time lists.

‘Top 100’ Milestones
Marian Hossa is a player who’s found his success flying under the radar. Chicago is the fifth team that Hossa’s played for in his career (others include the Senators, Thrashers, Penguins, and Red Wings) and he seems to have found a home with the Blackhawks.
At the age of 35, he’s one of 81 players who’ve scored over 1,000 points in their NHL career – and ranks among the top 100 in several offensive categories.

- Hossa (570) needs 1 assist to pass Frank Mahovlich (570) for 92nd on the NHL’s all-time list.
