Callahan Returns to MSG, Bolts Win 5-1
Ryan Callahan returned to the place he called home for eight seasons on Monday night. He didn’t disappoint (Bolts fans) either. The former Rangers captain scored two goals, and current Bolts Captain Steven Stamkos added one and an assist, as the Lightning routed the Rangers 5-1. Martin St. Louis (the return for Callahan) scored his seventh goal for the Rangers.
In this day and age in professional sports, it isn’t strange to see players face their former teams or teammates. Last night was no exception because on the other side of the ice for the Rangers, Martin St. Louis was facing his former team that he played for for 13 seasons including a Stanley Cup.

The Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers appear to be heading in different directions. Tampa is now one point behind division leader Montreal and are on the heels of a three-game win streak. The Rangers on the other hand have lost two in a row and are now in a third place tie with the New Jersey Devils, seven points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins.
