Is your team stacked with notable playoff performers? Eastern Conference Edition

With the 2012 playoffs looming, it is a good time to have a look at which NHL players are renowned for bringing their game to the next level.

  1. I’d hesitate to call Jordan Staal an underachiever.  Look at the roll he’s played and how he’s performed.  Shutdown 3rd line center who has shut down some of the East’s premier scoring threats year after year.

    • Well, if you’re looking for offensive production from Staal, you would expect more than a mere 27 points in 67 playoff games (0.40 PPG), especially if you compare it to his offensive production this season of 50 points in 62 games (0.81 PPG) which is much better.
