An emotitional Joe Sakic addressed the Denver media on Thursday and many hearts broke thoughout Colorado. Joe Sakic retires with 1,641 points good enough for 8th all time in the National Hockey League. As the cameras flashed away on his 40th birthday Joe knew that 2008-2009 would be his last and that it was time for the next chapter in life.
