Lars Eller gets the call to cross the Mighty Mississippi

The St. Louis Blues called up former 1st round draft pick (2007) Lars Eller today to take over if McDonald can’t play Thursday or Sunday in Atlanta.  Stastny and Armstrong are both still injured, so Eller was next on the list.  He’s understandably nervous, but considering that he’s playing at a point per game clip in Peoria, he should be a solid scoring replacement for a game or two.

The question is, does he get placed on one of the top two lines as a scoring threat?  Actually, the real question should be, what will the line pairings even BE on Thursday?  My sarcastic magic 8 ball is telling me “you wish I’d tell you,” which is probably a good approximation as to what Murray tells the Fox Sports Midwest guys a few hours before gametime.
