emergency2In an odd bid to re-create the number of games lost to injury that the Blues suffered through, three players have joined Steen, Brewer, and Jackman on the IR.

TJ Oshie had an emergency appendectomy (is there another kind?) Saturday morning after complaining about nausea and stomach cramping post-game on Friday.

Saturday’s game saw two players go down with injury.  DJ King is back onto the injury list with a possible broken hand.  Cam Janssen thereby is secure in his role as enforcer since this is looking to be an annual thing for King.

Carlo Colaiacovo was injured in a hip check collision with Dallas pest Steve Ott.  Carlo took issue with it, but it remains to be seen if the league took issue.  It was a busy weekend for them to review what with the great clean hits that were going on and everything.  He’s out for the time being with the usual phantom “upper body injury.”

BJ Crombeen luckily wasn’t hurt in the knee on knee check from Ott, but he managed to get an instigator penalty for popping up and going after Ott.  How that is an instigator after a dirty hit is beyond me.  No clue if a suspension is pending.

Yan Stastny has been called up and has been placed on re-entry waivers, per Andy Strickland’s Twitter feed.
