NHL Infirmary Report

Carolina: 72 Games Not Played
Jeff Skinner is out with an upper body injury. Skinner appeared in 10 games so far this year, recording nine points.

Carolina has a team that has struggled offensively scoring just 30 goals (fourth fewest in the league) and even without Skinner, this is a team that should be able to put the puck in the net.

Cam Ward is currently out with a lower body injury and up until this past Thursday, Carolina has been winless since losing Ward to injury.

Anton Khudobin was supposed to be there just in case something happened to Ward but suffered an injury himself.

Justin Peters has had to step up between the pipes to help provide his team with a chance to win. On Thursday night, he shutout the New York Islanders in a 1-0 win. Carolina will need to get more solid peformances like this from Peters if they want to find themselves on the right side of the score.

Nashville: 62 Games Not Played
Pekka Rinne is currently out with a hip injury, could be out for extended period of time. It wil be interesting to see, depending on how long Rinne is truly out, if Nashville makes a move for a goaltender.

In the meantime, Nashville will need to count on young goaltenders Carter Hutton and Magnus Hellberg to help compete each night.

Ottawa: 49 Games Not Played

Craig Anderson suffered an injury last Sunday when the knee of Stars forward Valeri Nichushkin struck the head of Anderson. Despite being taken off on a stretcher, Anderson has only been suffering from a stiff neck.

Robin Lehner will need to take advantage of his opportunity to prove he can be a number one goaltender in the National Hockey League.

Toronto: 81 Games Not Played
Toronto has lost their top two line centermen Tyler Bozak and Dave Bolland within a week of each other. Bolland is out indefinitely with an ankle injury while Bozak will be out until at least mid November.
