Latest Rumors:

  • For the first time in a long time, the Florida Panthers are expected to be buyers at the Trade Deadline.

It depends what it’s going to cost us, we’re going to look at everything, like we always do,” Tallon told ESPN.com.

  • The additions of Vinny Lecavalier and Luke Schenn may not be the end for the Los Angeles Kings this season.

The Kings have expressed significant interest in Toronto Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf in the past, but it’s unclear if the two sides are chatting again this season.

  • The Vancouver Canucks tried to trade Brandon Prust before ultimately placing him on waivers.

It’s believed the Washington Capitals had some interest in Prust, but his salary has posed a problem for them, and other teams.

  • The Tampa Tribune looks at what teams could be partners with Tampa Bay for a Steven Stamkos trade.

But if the Lightning did indeed consider trading Stamkos — rather than lose him as a free agent this summer and get nothing in return — what might Yzerman want? A right-handed defenseman? NHL players? Prospects? Draft picks?

  • The decisions of the Winnipeg Jets may impact how the rest of the deadline plays out.

I think you probably heard what Dustin Byfuglien said, that he was happy to stay and he tells his agent, who is also the same agent that represents John Scott, that ‘Don’t bother me unless we’re getting close to something I need to decide on.’
