San Jose won 3-2 against a new look Leafs team, their 8th straight road win.  Ryane Clowe registered the game winner his 15th of the season and the Sharks (39-11-9) are now one point behind the impressive Washington Capitals (41-12-6).  It wasn’t a pretty win, but a win none the less.

Niclas Wallin joined his new team after waiving his no-trade clause with the Carolina Hurricanes.  His trade was held up due to having to get the NHL’s approval.  Wallin has won a cup and has the veteran experience that the Sharks still evidently need.

Next up for the boys in Teal is the final three games of their six game road trip where they meet Columbus (24-27-9), Detroit (27-21-10), and Buffalo (32-18-7).

Side note:  It’s official the San Jose Sharks will kick off next season in Stockholm, Sweden against the Colombus Blue Jackets.  They will play two games  to be held Oct. 8th and 9th.  If you’d like to read more follow the link below.
