The Claude Lemieux we never knew

Claude, we thought we knew ya.

Fans of the teams he played for loved his nasty ways on the ice. Known throughout the league as “The Pest”, he got under the other team’s skin. Lou Lamoriello once said he annoyed everybody, the other team, his own teammates, his coaches, even his general managers. We knew THAT Claude Lemieux.

He won four Stanley Cups with three different teams, scored eighty Stanley Cup playoff goals (9th in the all-time record book), won the Conn Smythe MVP Award leading the Devils to their first Stanley Cup and finished his career with 1777 penalty minutes. We knew THAT Claude Lemieux.

This summer, thanks to the very successful Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s program “Battle of the Blades”, we have discovered a new side of Claude Lemieux. This video courtesy of You Tube says it all. Check it out!

To hear Claude reveal more of himself and his music background check out this CBC interview, again courtesy of YouTube.

Happy Thanksgiving!
