I’m going to wait until tomorrow to write it, however. Tonight is their last pre-season game (8:00 @ Minny) before they pack up and fly to Sweden. Presumably the final roster cuts will be done some time tomorrow afternoon, and I’ll feel more comfortable summarizing what to expect from the team when I know who the heck is on it.

Got a feeling this could be the year the Blues return to the role of contender in the West this year. Really looking forward to seeing them build on last year’s surprising success.
After listening to the game against the Wild tonight, I really think that we’re pretty good to go. Yes, it was preseason, and we had our A- squad out against their B+ squad, but we scored four really solid goals (3 PP, so that sounds solid) against their goalies – three against Backstrom, I believe.
Of course, you have to take into consideration the fact that the Wild are still trying to adjust to their new system, and as we saw with the Thrashers last season, it takes a while to get used to it… sometimes half a season, and sometimes dumping players that don’t fit. The Wild are really, really going to have to adjust.
