Last Saturday, the Albany Devils suffered their second straight loss, but the losing streak did not last long, as they were able to bounce right back in their next two games.

Devils Drop Thanksgiving Weekend Game to Adirondack
Stephane Veilleux scored his 50th career AHL goal and Peter Harrold had two assists, but it wasn’t enough to help Albany take home a victory. The Adirondack Phantoms won the game by a score of 4-3.
Joe Whitney and Nick Palmieri tied the game at three goals each 2:57 apart in the third period to force overtime. However, a minute into the extra frame, Jonathan Kalinski scored for Adirondack to secure the win.
Keith Kinkaid took the loss in goal with 25 saves on 29 shots.
Albany Picks Up Two Wins Against Springfield, Bridgeport
The Devils snapped their two-game losing streak last Sunday against the Springfield Falcons, winning by a score of 3-2.
Stephen Gionta, Albany’s captain, scored his 53rd career goal as a member of a Devils AHL franchise. He passed Michael Swift, who had 52 goals while playing for the Lowell Devils and Albany from 2008-11.
Veilleux and Steven Zalewski also scored, while Kinkaid made a season-high 36 saves on 38 shots.
On Friday night, the Devils defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, 4-3, back at Times Union Center in Albany. Zalewski had a two-goal performance, while Brad Mills, who was assigned to the team from New Jersey earlier in the week, had the game-winning goal. Chad Wiseman and Matt Taormina each had two assists.
Kinkaid was pulled after surrendering three goals on seven shots in the first period. He was replaced by Jeff Frazee, who made 13 saves over the next two periods to get the win.
Mills, Urbom Assigned to Albany
Earlier this week, New Jersey assigned forward Brad Mills and defenseman Alexander Urbom to Albany.
Mills played 21 games in New Jersey before being sent down and had one point and 13 penalty minutes. He finished his first game in Albany with a goal and a plus-one rating.
Urbom is in his second season with the Devils organization and had 23 points in 72 games with Albany last year. He also played eight games in New Jersey, posting one goal and a minus-two rating.
This year, he has six points and a plus-six rating through 19 AHL games.
Sova Recalled from ECHL
Today, the AHL Devils announced that defenseman Joe Sova was recalled from the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL.
Sova played 11 games in Albany last year and had four points and a minus-six rating. He spent most of 2010-11 at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, where he had 24 points in 37 games.
In 18 games with Kalamazoo this season, he has seven points and a plus-10 rating.

The Devils are currently in third place in the AHL’s Northeast Division with a record of 11-7-3 for 25 points. They are in seventh place in the Eastern Conference.
