Vancouver Canucks 4 Nashville Predators 2 Game 4; Canucks lead series 3-1
Canucks Christian Ehroff was the first to get on the score board as he put a slap shot off of a pass from Henrik Sedin and Daniel Sedin past Nashville’s net minder Pekka Rinne for his second of the post season and give Vancouver the first lead of the game.
A penalty to Canucks defenseman Sami Salo for delay of game for putting the puck over the glass would lead to a power play goal for Predators Joel Ward to tie the game; before heading off for intermission Predators captain Shea Weber would take a roughing penalty as Canucks Kevin Kieksa would taking a slashing call.
The second period would start 4-on-4 and see neither team tae advantage of the extra space on the ice. It was not until almost halfway though the period when Vancouver’s Alexander Edler would get the go ahead goal for the Canucks.
Vancouver with a 2-1 lead going into the third period would see it take less than three and a half minutes for Nashville’s Cody Franson to put the puck past Roberto Luongo for his first of the post season.
Minutes later Predators Ryan Suter would be called for holding and lead to a power play goal by Ryan Kesler to give the Canucks the lead. Once with the lead again Vancouver did not look back. Nashville would pull Rinne for the extra skater and it would be Canucks Henrik Sedin with his first of the post season as he netted the empty net for the 4-2 win to take the series up to a 3-1 lead.
