With the organization’s first Prospects Challenge taking place in just 10 days, the Buffalo Sabres have announced their roster for the event that features the Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils.
The headline acts, so to say, for the Sabres roster will be 2014 second-overall pick Sam Reinhart and 2015 second-overall pick Jack Eichel. The event will be the first time that the two players will be on the same side after facing each other throughout Buffalo’s prospect development camp back in July.

Also a part of this year’s roster are 2013 second-round pick Justin Bailey, 2014 second-round pick Jake McCabe, 2013 third-round pick Nicholas Baptiste and 2015 second-round pick Brendan Guhle, among others. The team’s prospect pool is a loaded one, and fans in Buffalo will get a chance to really see what’s in store for the Sabres down the line with their young guns. The full roster can be found here.
Neither Boston nor New Jersey have announced their rosters for the event. Those are expected to be released in the coming days.
The Prospects Challenge takes place from September 12-14 at First Niagara Center and HARBORCENTER in Buffalo. Buffalo’s first game is on Saturday, September 12 against New Jersey. Full details for the event can be found here.
