After being made a healthy scratch in Game 2 on Saturday, rookie forward Mattias Janmark will re-enter the lineup for Dallas when they head to St. Paul on Monday.
Coach Lindy Ruff confirmed Janmark’s return Sunday, but wouldn’t tip his hand as to who would be coming out of the lineup.
The 23-year-old rookie has posted 15 goals and 29 points for the Stars. He spent last season playing for Frolunda in the SHL and was acquired by Dallas in a trade deadline deal that sent Erik Cole to Detroit for a postseason run that he wasn’t able to participate in due to injury.
Additionally, the Stars have assigned Brett Ritchie to the Texas Stars of the AHL.
He missed the last seven games of the regular season with a lower-body injury. He appears to be ready to skate again, and will get a shot down in the AHL.
Ritchie started the season on the shelf following wrist surgery. He play eight NHL games this season, recording an assist. Through 35 AHL contests he has 14 goals and 28 points.
