One of the Edmonton Oilers top defensive prospects, Darnell Nurse, has been recalled on in advance of Tuesday’s road game against the Minnesota Wild, the team announced on Monday.
The recall saw the team place 21-year-old defenseman Griffin Reinhart on injured reserve in a corresponding move.
Nurse, 20, made his NHL debut last season playing two games with the Oilers before he was sent back to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the OHL where he was the team captain, scoring 10 goals and 23 assists in 36 contests.
