The New York Rangers have announced their roster for the annual Traverse City prospects tournament.
The roster includes some of their most exciting prospects, including University of Minnesota defenseman Brady Skjei, Calgary Hitmen standout Adam Tambellini and 2014 2nd round draft pick and Sault Ste. Marie goaltender Brandon Halverson.
The roster also includes three of the team’s 2015 draft picks:
Ryan Gropp (41st overall), Sergey Zborovskiy (79th overall) and Brad Morrison (113th overall).
The roster also features 12 invitees who will be taking the tournament as one of their first opportunities to impress the organization and earn a contract. Invitees include OHL Saginaw’s Artem Artemov, QMJHL Moncton’s Cameron Askew, OHL North Bay’s Zach Bratina, WHL Regina’s Adam Brooks, OHL Niagra’s Anthony DiFruscia, WHL Prince Albert’s Jayden Hart (now on an AHL contract with Rochester), OHL Sarnia’s Hayden Hodgson and Brandon Lindberg, WHL Saskatoon’s Turner Ottenbreit, QMJHL Acadie-Bathurst’s Mark Simpson, WHL Seattle’s Jerret Smith and OHL North Bay goaltender Jacon Smith.

The Rangers will compete in the Ted Lindsay Division at the tournament, playing against the Minnesota Wild, Columbus Blue Jackets and St. Louis Blues prospects.
The Traverse City Prospects Tournament, hosted by the Detroit Red Wings, is set to kick off on September 11.
