Paul covers the Ottawa Senators for The Hockey Writers (THW).
He has been writing for THW since 2020 during which time he has hosted and appeared on several THW YouTube shows. He is currently a panelist on The Senators Roundtable.
Paul writes on a wide range of hockey topics and is noted for his strong opinions and entertaining style backed up by solid research. He is one of a small number of journalists writing about topics relating to the place of hockey in the big social, business and political trends of the day. He has been sought out for his opinions on public affairs shows and in academia.
Paul loves the game of hockey having played the game as a boy and now in a +60 league. He has been a hockey organizer and passed down the love of the game to his children and now his grandchildren.
