Game Recap

Johnston took no time making his mark on Tuesday night, as he scored his 22nd of the season at 1:39 of the first period. Johnston created a turnover in the defensive zone, got behind the defense and beat Markstrom on a breakaway. The 22-year-old has scored four goals in his last four periods, which date back to the three goals he scored on Sunday.

Lyubushkin finally got the monkey off his back, scoring his first goal of the season and ending a 147-game drought. Lyubushkin brought the puck out of his own end, skated the length of the ice and beat Markstrom on his blocker side.

Meier brought the Devils to within one on the power play, with a snap shot from the right circle, for his 17th goal of the season.

Hischier brought the lead back to within one with a tip-in goal on the power play at 12:18. Three minutes later, Pesce evened the game at 3-3 on a delayed penalty, taking advantage of a chaotic scene in front of DeSmith.

After an icing call against the Devils with 14 seconds left in the third, Harley beat Markstrom with a wrist shot from the top of the left circle to secure the 4-3 win with 4.8 seconds remaining.

The Devils outshot the Stars 28-21 and went a perfect 2-for-2 on the power play. The Stars went 1-for-5 with the man advantage.
