The Dallas Stars have confirmed that they will enter Game 4 against the Minnesota Wild without forward Tyler Seguin, reports Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News. He remains in Dallas and has not skated since his return appearance in Game 2.
Seguin had a 15 percent laceration to his Achilles tendon over a month ago and missed exactly one month of play. He returned in Game 2 and “irritated something” that has kept him off the ice ever since.
He is still considered day-to-day.
The other significant absence from Game 3 was defenseman Kris Russell, who has been ill. He returned to practice Tuesday, paired up with Jason Demers, making it look like he was about ready to return.

Coach Lindy Ruff made Russell’s availability sound less certain after Tuesday’s practice. “We’ll see. He hasn’t been feeling well for a while, so it might take more than just tomorrow,” Ruff said. “But he can be an option if all of the sudden he feels a lot better than he has been.”
That hasn’t become any more clear follow morning skate Wednesday. Heika reports that Russell will take the pre-game skate with the team to see how he feels. Dallas plans to run seven defensemen and 13 forwards during pre-game skate and decide the final game roster from there.
