NHL Announces Saturday Playoff Start Times

After the Red Wings were eliminated by the Lightning Thursday and the Chicago Blackhawks eked out a double overtime victory to stay alive, the NHL announced game start times for Saturday, April 23.

Game 5 of the Metropolitan Division opening round match between the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers is set for a 3pm ET start at Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center. The game will be broadcast on NBC in the States and SN360/TVA Sports in Canada.

The Anaheim Ducks evened up their series against the Nashville Predators on Thursday, with neither team winning a game at home through the first four. Game 5, which will be back in Anaheim, is set for a 6pm ET/3pm PT start. Outside of the local markets, the game will be broadcast on NBCSN in the U.S. and Sportsnet and TVA in Canada.

Game 6 of the battle between the Blues and Blackhawks, which is shifting back to Chicago for the last time in this round, is going to be an 8pm ET/7pm CT start. It will be exclusively broadcast on NBC in the States and on CBC/TVA Sports 2 in Canada.
