On Thursday night the Vancouver Canucks announced that they have re-signed defensemen Adam Clendening and Frank Corrado. Clendening’s deal is a one-year, two-way deal worth $760K, according Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
Clendening was acquired by the Canucks in a January trade with the Chicago Blackhawks that sent 19-year-old prospect Gustav Forsling to the Windy City.
Last season was Clendening’s first in the NHL, making his way into 21 games, scoring a goal and three assists. The 22-year-old finished the season with a score-adjusted CF%Rel of 0.7%.
Corrado, a 2011 5th round pick, is a veteran of three NHL seasons and 28 games, over which he’s scored two goals and no assists. This past season he worked his way into 10 games and scored one goal and posted a -5.7% score-adjusted CF%Rel.
