Like Ryan, Cam Atkinson Scores Kid a Puppy

It’s turning into a real thing now.

On Sunday two kids brought a sign to an Ottawa Senators game saying that if Bobby Ryan scores the kids’ dad will get them a puppy. Naturally, Bobby Ryan scored.

Monday, similar sign, another kid, this time in Columbus. Instead of Bobby Ryan it was Cam Atkinson, and he too scored a goal.

In fact, Atkinson scored three, helping Columbus get past the slumping Montreal Canadiens 5-2.

Atkinson said after the game that he saw the sign and that he hopes the kid will name the dog after him. And that’s dog, singular. It was reported after the game that three goals does not equal three dogs. Though, the Bleu Jackets (sic) twitter might be looking to help make it three dogs.
