Logan Couture Out Through Christmas

The San Jose Sharks will continue to be without center Logan Couture until at least Christmas, according to Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area.

Couture, who underwent surgery for an arterial bleed in his thigh on Thursday, will not be traveling with the team for their upcoming five-game road trip. That road trip takes them up to December 22 and the holiday break.

Their next game after that is on December 28 at home against the Colorado Avalanche.

The injury was the result of a blunt force on his right thigh and was reported to be unrelated to his previous injury.

Couture has had a rough season, missing an extended period of time for a leg break already and now going through this ordeal just a game and a half after he was able to jump back into the lineup.

He has no goals and two assist through five games this season.
