The 2026-27 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) season is getting ready to kick off. The schedules have been released, and all that’s left is to finalize the rosters before the 12 teams can hit the ice. On Wednesday, Oct. 7, each team announced their team’s training camp roster. Looking at the training camp roster, the New York Sirens have 18 of the 29 players signed to their roster for the 2026-27 season. The only player currently signed to the team who hasn’t played with the Sirens yet is forward Makenna Webster, who the Sirens drafted in the 2025 PWHL entry draft. Webster elected to finish out her college career, where she was a two-sport athlete, playing both ice hockey and field hockey.

Amongst the forwards, Celina Haider received a camp invitation. She is a German ice hockey player who has only played in her home country throughout her career. The Sirens could be her first chance to play in the PWHL.

Of the nine defenders on the Sirens’ training camp roster, only three are not currently signed to the team. Both Emma Peschel and Grace Wolfe were 2026 PWHL entry draft picks. Peschel was the Sirens’ first round pick, while Wolfe was the Sirens’ fifth round pick. The third defender not signed to the team is Cameron Sikich, a Canadian-born player who most recently played in the Swedish Women’s Hockey League (SDHL) last season. This camp invite from New York is a great opportunity for Sikich to make an impact and be a part of the PWHL.

Three of the four goaltenders on New York’s training camp roster are signed to the Sirens for the 2026-27 team. Elaine Chuli signed to the team during the free agency, while Callie Shanahan and Kaley Doyle were a part of New York last season and now remain as a part of their roster. The Sirens extended a camp invite to goaltender Quinn Kuntz, who most recently played for the University of Wisconsin.

The Sirens open training camp on Nov. 18.
