The Florida Panthers announced today that they’ve signed 27-year old Shane Harper to a one-year contract extension. The team made the announcement via their official Twitter account.

Harper originally signed with the Panthers last summer and played the entire 2015-16 campaign with their AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates. In 59 regular season games with Portland, Harper scored 12 goals an accrued 37 total points. He also added two goals in five postseason games.
According to GeneralFanager.Com, his deal is worth $650,000 at the NHL level and $150,000 in the AHL.
The 5-foot-11, 193-pound forward has 340 career AHL games on his resume with the Adirondack Phantoms, Chicago Wolves and Portland Pirates, spanning from 2009-2016. He has netted 67 goals and 161 total points.
