Report: Lubomir Visnovsky Considering a Season in Europe

According to a report cas.sk, via Swiss Hockey News, former New York Islanders defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky is considering playing next season in Europe. He told the publication that he’s still looking for a NHL deal, but is considering a season in Europe.

He tolk cas.sk (via Swiss Hockey News):

I could imagine working in the Czech league, Switzerland or in another league… or start the season in Europe, and then go overseas, if an offer came.

The 38-year-old defenseman finished out a two-year contract this season with an AAV of $4.75 million. He played 53 games for the Islanders last season, scoring five goals and 15 assists.

He’s played 883 career NHL games split between the Islanders, Anaheim Ducks, Edmonton Oilers, and Los Angeles Kings.
