Winnipeg Jets forward Morgan Barron is out week to week with a lower-body injury, as per head coach Scott Arniel.
The specific injury is undisclosed, with Arniel saying only Barron was “banged up” in the Jets’ 2-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets Saturday night. With just 11 day to go until the end of Jets’ regular-season schedule, this injury could spell the end of Barron’s campaign.
The 27 year old has 11 goals and 12 assists for a career-high 23 points in 65 games this season. He had only recently returned to the lineup after missing two games in concussion protocol.
The Jets, three points out of the second Western Conference wild-card spot, host the Seattle Kraken tonight in a game with massive playoff implications for both sides.
