Mitch Marner Reaches 100 Points in Season for First Time in Career

Toronto Maple Leafs star forward Mitch Marner has finally done it. He has reached 100 points in a season for the first time in his career.

After years of trying, he always fell just short, landing in and around the 97–99 point range. However, after tonight, he can officially say he is a 100-point scorer in the NHL.

After trying all game, he and Auston Matthews had upwards to 10 chances to score and get him his 100th point of the season. Thankfully, it finally came late in the third period when he scored on a pass from Matthews. He has fallen short the last few seasons but now he can finally saw that he has hit the century mark in a season.

Marner, 27, has been a member of the Maple Leafs since he was drafted in 2015 NHL draft. In 655 games, he has scored 220 goals and 519 assists for 739 points.

Marner is a pending free agent, who could see a chance at signing with a new team next season. However, there is a hope that he will re-sign with the Maple Leafs and go onto be one of the greatest players to ever play for the Maple Leafs.
