Winnipeg Jets Re-Sign Cole Perfetti to 5-Year Contract With $6 Million AAV

The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed forward Cole Perfetti to a five-year deal with a $6 million average annual value (AAV) as per Elliotte Friedman.

Perfetti was a restricted free agent with an arbitration hearing set for July 20.

The now-24-year-old took a step back last season offensively, recording 32 points (12 goals, 20 assists) compared to a career-high 50 (18 goals and 32 assists) in 2024-25.

He missed the first 14 games of the campaign with a high-ankle sprain he suffered in the team’s final preseason game, and even though he returned in November, he did not look comfortable until the new year. He admitted in his exit interview he came back from injury “a hair too early” and that it “took awhile” to get back up to speed.

He will be among the many Jets who will be looking to bounce back and help the team back to relevance after a highly-disappointing season in which they regressed by 21 wins and missed the playoffs.

Perfetti was originally selected 10th overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and has recorded 59 goals and 98 assists for 157 points in 290-career games along with three goals and three assists for six points in 14-career playoff games. His most-memorable NHL moment is undoubtedly scoring the “Manitoba Miracle” in the dying seconds of Game 7 versus the St. Louis Blues in the first round of the 2025 playoffs.

Perfetti was coming off a two-year bridge deal that carried a $3.25 million AAV. The Jets still have $4.68 million of available cap space, as per PuckPedia.
