FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – The Hockey Writers announced on Wednesday that the media outlet has agreed to a deal with salary cap database website CapFriendly to make the website the exclusive salary provider for the network.
This new partnership will bring readers of The Hockey Writers more functionality than ever. With this new affiliation, readers of The Hockey Writers will be able to find out salary information for all their favorite players without ever having to leave the site courtesy of our new team pages.
“CapFriendly is extremely pleased with the opportunity to be partnering with The Hockey Writers so as to display our salary cap tables on their site,” CapFriendly co-founder Dominik Zrim said. “The Hockey Writers have been a well-read & respected hockey news source for a long time, and to be working with such a brand is very exciting. We hope to continue building and fortifying the relationship between us.”
Readers will be able to find out specific cap hits, actual salary of payers, various contract clauses as well as signing bonuses, among other features. Each team’s information will be available on their specific pages as they roll out throughout the month of September. The first team page is available now.
“The ability to find salary information has been a highly requested feature from readers and writers,” managing editor Michael Straw said. “This is a move that helps The Hockey Writers move forward in terms of being a one-stop shop for all hockey fans. The affiliation with CapFriendly is still in its infancy, and I only expect it to grow over time.”
