The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Patrick Kaleta to a professional tryout contract and given him an AHL contract to play with the Rochester Americans, should he not make the Sabres.
The 29-year-old Kaleta has been inside the Sabres organization since he was drafted in the 6th round of the 2004 draft, playing a total of nine seasons with the team. Though he played just five NHL games in the 2013-14 season and 42 last year, over which he posted no goals and three assists.
In his nine NHL seasons, he’s played 348 games, putting up 27 goals and 27 assists. His last goal was scored on April 7, 2013.
