Jets Sign Garrett Brown to 2-Year Entry-Level Contract

The Winnipeg Jets have signed draft pick Garrett Brown to a two-year entry-level contract worth $1.05 million.

Brown, a right-handed defenseman and 2022 fourth-round selection (99th overall) recorded two goals and 10 assists for 12 points in 33 games this season for the University of Denver. In addition to recording a personal career high in points, the 6-foot-3 22 year old and his Pioneers won the NCAA National Championship.

The contract kicks in next season, and Brown has signed an amateur tryout contract with the Manitoba Moose for the remainder of this season. It’s possible he plays in one or both of the Moose’s final two regular-season games over the weekend versus the Iowa Wild.
