Aleksander Barkov Has Broken Hand

Aleksander Barkov has been missing time with an injury that was suspected to be a hand issue after having a shot strike him. That was confirmed on Sunday when the Sun Sentinel’s Harvey Filakov tweeted that Barkov has a broken bone in his hand.

The team is not yet sure what this means in terms of a timetable for his return. Filakov said it could be two weeks or two months.

Barkov has been solid for Florida who appears set to start delivering on years of rebuilding promise, including selling out their opening night win.

Barkov has scored three goals and three assists through seven games this season.
