Daniel Paille Takes PTO With Chicago

Former Boston Bruins forward Daniel Paille has agreed to a tryout contract (PTO) with the Chicago Blackhawks, according to TSN’s Darren Dreger.

Paille has played with the Bs for the last six years, scoring six goals and seven assists through 71 games last season. He also posted a -7.3% score-adjusted CF%Rel will taking -3% ZSO%Rel.

Paille won a Stanley Cup in 2011 with the Bruins and could bring experience to the Blackhawks depth chart as they try and figure out how to run the roster after losing a lot of players over the summer, including Johnny Oduya, Brandon Saad, Patrick Sharp, Kris Versteeg, Brad Richards, Antoine Vermette, Kimmo Timonen and Daniel Carcillo.

Lots of familiar names are taking PTOs this season. Keep up with all the tryout contracts with The Hockey Writers’ 2015 PTO Tracker.
