Devils Release Preseason Schedule

They say waiting is the hardest part.

So, even the specter of September hockey is a welcome sight for New Jersey Devils fans. The release of their 2015-16 preseason schedule includes three home dates at Prudential Center and three road tilts.

Sunday, September 20 at Boston Bruins (Providence) – 7:00 p.m.

New Jersey didn’t play any contests at the AHL barn and home of the Providence Bruins, in 2014-15. Last season at Boston, the Devils went 0-2-0-0, losing by counts of 3-0 and 4-2.

Monday, September 21 at New York Rangers – 7:00 p.m.

In 2014-15, New Jersey was 0-2-0-0 at Madison Square Garden, dropping contest by count of 6-1 and 3-1.

Wednesday, September 23 at New York Islanders – TBD.

While they didn’t play any regular season contests at Brooklyn last year, New Jersey was 0-1-0-1 at Long Island, falling 3-2 in a shootout and 3-1.

Friday, September 25 vs. Islanders – 7:00 p.m.

Hosting the Isles last season, the Devils posted a ledger of 0-1-1-0, getting blanked 3-0 and edged in overtime 3-2.

Saturday, September 26 vs. Rangers – 7:00 p.m.

The Devils dropped both home meetings with the Rangers last year, going 0-1-1-0, losing 4-2 and 4-3 in overtime.

Wednesday, September 30 at Philadelphia Flyers – 7:00 p.m.

At Philadelphia last season, the Devils found a modicum of success, posting a mark of 1-1-0-0. New Jersey lost 4-1 and won 6-4.

Friday, October 2 vs. Flyers – 7:00 p.m.

The Devils were a perfect 2-0-0-0 when hosting the Flyers last season. New Jersey won both contests by an identical margin of 5-2.
