The Edmonton Oilers were able to pick up a massive win against the Seattle Kraken in their recent game without the help of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, but it seems as though they may have to play without them for the next three games as well. Oilers’ head coach Kris Knoblauch claims the team won’t have the two superstar forwards available to them for the next few games, as they rest up and heal some minor injuries.

McDavid and Draisaitl have both been having incredibly strong campaigns, so missing them for these few games will hurt. However, fans can agree they should be at 100 percent for the postseason rather than dealing with lingering injuries as they try to push for their first Stanley Cup since 1990.
Draisaitl, who is 29 years old, has scored 49 goals and added 52 assists for 101 points through 68 games this season. McDavid, who is 28 years old, has scored 26 goals and added 64 assists for 90 points through 63 games this season. McDavid also became a member of the 1000-point club this season and has since increased that total to 1072 at the time of this article.
The Oilers will have to try and find a way to pick up a few victories without two of the best players in the NHL in their lineup, but it’s positive news that their injuries don’t seem to be major, and they will both be ready for the postseason.
