The Vancouver Canucks joined the NHL in 1970 alongside the Buffalo Sabres as part of the league’s second expansion. The Canucks struggled as an expansion franchise and didn’t reach the postseason until year five. In the 50-plus years since joining the league, the Canucks have yet to win the Stanley Cup; however, they have reached the Stanley Cup Final three times—1982, 1994, and 2011.
