Jets’ Brayden Yager Set to Make NHL Debut

Winnipeg Jets prospect Brayden Yager will make his NHL debut tonight versus the Vegas Golden Knights, the team confirmed Monday afternoon.

The 21 year old, who was called up on Sunday prior to the Jets’ departure for their final road trip of the season, has 10 goals and 20 assists for 30 points in 68 games for the Manitoba Moose in his first professional season. The Jets acquired the right-shot centre and 2023 14th-overall pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2024 offseason for disgruntled prospect Rutger McGroarty.

The Jets will look to rebound tonight after being crushed by the Philadelphia Flyers 7-1 Saturday night at Canada Life Centre. They have three more games left in the regular season and their “tragic number” in the Western Conference wild-card race is down to two, making their matchup tonight in Las Vegas another must win.
