Pionk hasn’t played since Jan. 13 due to injury, but this most-recent ailment is unrelated to that one, with Arniel explaining “he actually got re-hurt again here this past week.” Pionk has two goals and six assists for eight points in 40 games this season.

Defenseman Josh Morrissey is also out with the upper body injury he sustained in Canada’s opening Olympic preliminary game versus Czechia on Feb. 12.
