Jets Place 4 on Waivers; Assign Milic to Moose

The Winnipeg Jets made another round of training-camp cuts Friday afternoon.

They placed forwards Nikita Chibrikov, Parker Ford, and Noah Gregor and defenseman Isaak Phillips on waivers for the purpose of assigning to the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League. They also loaned waived-exempt goaltender Thomas Milic to the Moose.

Chibrikov, Ford, and Phillips played 15, 11, and three games with the Jets last season, respectively, while Gregor was a July 1 free-agent signing. Milic made three appearances for the Jets last season, including his NHL debut in late November.

This leaves the Jets with 29 players in camp. They must cut their roster down to 23 by Monday, Sept. 28, one day ahead of the 2026-27 regular season’s opening day. The Jets’ home- and season-opener takes place Friday, Oct. 2 versus the Boston Bruins.

They have gone 1-1-1 in three preseason games so far, and have just one more on their schedule, Friday evening versus the Avalanche in Colorado.
