Jesse Ylonen (born October 3, 1999) is an American-born Finnish ice hockey player, currently under contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning. He split the 2021-22 season between the Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League (AHL) and the Canadiens, recording two goals and five points in 14 NHL games, while putting up 14 goals and 36 points in 52 AHL games. Ylonen was selected 35th overall by the Canadiens in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
After spending eight years in Finland, playing in various leagues like SM-sarja, Mestis, and the elite Liiga with the Pelicans, Ylonen made his way to North America. Debuting with the Rocket in the 2020-21 season, he amassed nine goals and 17 points in 29 games. He also made his NHL debut, posting a clean sheet with Montreal. Internationally, Ylonen has represented Finland on two occasions, winning a silver medal at the 2017 U18 World Junior Championship and a gold medal at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship.
